SO Community,

This is an announcement regarding the Tour-Pro qualifying test.

There will be a quarterly re-test. We will announce this re-test before it is implemented to give fair time for your preparation.

Original Tour-Pro Test:

1. Test time

From 07.30.2008 00:00 AM to 07.30.2008 11:59 PM (Server Time)

2. Requirements:

a) You must be at least a Lv 61;
b) You must be a Semi-Pro qualified player with a HDCP of -12 or better at each Hela and Forneus course;
c) The test fee is 1,000,000 NG (500,000 NG to play each course);
d) You must have been a Semi-Pro for at least 3 months.
(This is not 90 days but rather a unit of time)

3. The designated courses

Hela & Forneus, 18 holes Stroke Play, Par *2

4. The cut off standard

* Must score a minimum of -12 under par in each course, top N players under 120 strokes (sum of the two courses) will be qualified;
* The top 20% of the qualified applicants will be selected;
* In the event of a tie, both parties will pass.

5. Selection Size

a) The maximum number of participants that will pass is 200 per Tour-Pro test
b) If you do not continue to maintain your Tour Pro status by taking the quarterly test, your status will be downgraded to Semi-Pro.

6. The Test schedule

a) The Tour Pro Test is scheduled on the last Wednesday of every month [Designated time is between 00:00 ~ 23:59. And during this period, both scorecards (Hela & Forneus) must be submitted];
b) To maintain your Tour-Pro status, you must re-take the quarterly test again every 3 months.

* Note that any in-game latency issues or improper or sudden shutdowns of the client will not be compensated under any circumstances.

7. Miscellaneous

No experience points will be given during the qualifying test.

8. Benefits of becoming a Tour Pro

a) All the same benefits as a Semi-Pro;
b) Semi Pro Players will be given 1.2x experience points when they play with a Tour Pro Player;
c) Tour Pro exclusive pants will be given upon status upgrade (Power +1, Stamina +1);
d) 1 Fedora A100 and 5,000,000 NG will be rewarded;
e) The Honor Pro Qualifying Test qualification will be based on the Tour Pro title status;

9. Instruction to take the test

a) Select NPC Thor in the square. Follow the instructions given to you by him and start the Tour Pro Qualifying Test. After finishing the first designated course, Hela, you will be escorted back to the square. From here you may start the second part of the test at Forneus by selecting NPC Thor once again;
b) Please note that Shot-Online will not compensate for the loss of green fees or score cards even if you are forced to exit the game due to latency issues or client crashes;
c) You can re-apply for the Tour Pro Test on the last Wednesday of the month;
d) The result will be announced after the test is over.

*If you pass the test, you will receive your 5,000,000 NG, Tour-Pro pants and Fedora A100 in the next maintenance period.

We are proud to announce that Shot Online will be in GNGWC 2008! If you participated in GNGWC 2007, you will know how fun it was. This year it will be even bigger! Players from our server will have a chance at playing against players from Germany, Korea, Japan, and Taiwan servers. Click here for more information about GNGWC 2008.

There will be four (4) regional finals so there will be four (4) online preliminary tournaments.

Europe
Preliminary Tournament: August 1st - August 8th (top 6 players advances to regional finals)
Regional finals: August 21 in Leipzig, Germany (top 3 players advances to grand finale)

East Asia
Preliminary Tournament: August 15 - August 22 (top 4 players advances to regional finals)
Regional finals: September 6 in Singapore (top 2 players advances to grand finale)

United States
Preliminary Tournament: August 29 - September 5 (top 12 players advances to regional finals)
Regional finals: September 20 in San Jose, California (top 3 players advances to grand finale)

South America
Preliminary: September 12 - September 19 (top 8 players advances to regional finals)
Regional finals: October 4 in San Paulo, Brazil (top 2 players advances to grand finale)

Grand Finale
November 16 in South Korea!

You must pick one of the preliminary tournaments and it would be best if you could go to the regional finals in the selected city/country and time.

We will release the preliminary registration soon! Please wait until you see the registration of the region you are playing for!

Hello Shot Online Community!

We will be having our first Hurricane Cup where players participate in tournaments to earn points. Points are given out to the top 10 Players of each tournament and the points are added up at the end of the cup. The top 3 players of the Hurricane Cup will receive a sponsorship deal from Hurricane Clubs and Potter's Bank.

Details:
- Register for the tournaments will be through Baxter.
- Entrance fee is 1 million NG for each tournament played and each turn.
- Each tournament can be played 4 times.


Tournament 1: Prometheus National Tournament
Date: 2008-07-03 to 2008-07-06
Course: Alfheim
Prizes:
1st place - 5,000 campus cash & Prometheus Putter Repairable
2nd place - 4,000 campus cash & Prometheus Putter Non-Repairable

Hello Shot Online Community!

We here at Shot Online are happy to announce that the 2008 Season 2 update for the game will be coming in the near future! Here is a glimpse at what is expected to come:

1. New character
- Name: Camillia
- Age: 26 years old
- Nationality: Brazil

2. New Course
- Course Name: Pearl Green Island
- Difficulty: Between Cadeiger and Rufus Arena

3. Sound Upgrade
- The new course BGMs are all renewed with new high quality BGMs. Also, sound effects are renewed in the game.

4. Las Vegas Game Mode
- Required Players: 4
- Details: The highest level and lowest level are set to the same team, and the rest gets on the other team. The two teams have a team match and each team member is changed on every hole according to the score of the previous hole.
- The winning team receives an additional 50% EXP on each hole and the losing team receives 50% less EXP.

5. World Wide Arena
- World-wide tournament is opened to all Shot Online users and user can check their rankings on the tournament.
World Ranking
* All of the scores of the World Championship is recorded
* The method of score calculation was adopted from realistic PGA tournament and ranking is decided according to it.
* The world ranking for World Championship will be decided according to the all World Championship score records for the last 1 year from the registered world wide arena.
My Course Ranking
* This feature allows you to check your course ranking among all the users in the world.
* The average score of each course is calculated and the ranking is decided accordingly.
* The course score records are updated every 6 months.

6. Messenger
- The updated messenger will help manage the Friend List, guild member list and graduate fellows list in one form.
- A note system will also be added.
- You will also be able to set your status (Online, Busy, etc)
- The friend registration process has been changed (Both sides need to allow registration)
- The limitation of the Friends list has been set to a max of 200.

7. Guild
- Take in/out Guild Locker function has been added (Master/Assistant Master/Regular Member/Semi Member)
* There will be a also a guild locker usage log in the game
- Assistant Guild Masters are increased according to the guild level.
- Benefit for Master/Assistant Master
* Additional guild points
* Additional guild coupons

8. Enhanced Chat Window
- Users will be able to choose and set up regular chat, guild chat, private messages and tips.
- The existing chat messages will remain when moving to the Square, Auction House and Game List.

9. Higher Graphic Quality
- Lighting Effect: More realistic and stereoscope expressions for the characters.
- Multi Texture: Realistic visual updated on all courses.
- More delicate transparent expressions.
- Face Motion: Face animation added while rounding.

10. Quest
- An NPC will provide quests in which users need to complete a certain condition in order to gain a certain item, EXP, NG or special items.
- Quest for lower level users - These Quests will help and educate the beginners on how to play Shot Online easier.
- Quest for Mid and High level users - These Quests will provide new goals to mid/high level users who just aim to level up.
(Currently the Quest NPC is set up for only low leveled users only)

11. Caddy System
- It will help and record scores.
- Additional functions will follow soon.

12. Enhance user loading on square
- Enhanced the loading time when users enter the square.
- No delay when entering the square.

13. In Game Item Mall
- Users will be able to use the Item Mall in the game.
- A "Send as Gift" function has been added.
- You will be able to preview what a certain Item Mall item looks on your character before purchasing.
- Purchasing Campus Cash will still be available through the website only.

Summer Professional Tournament

Period: 06.01.08 00:00AM ~ 06.07.08 11:59PM Server time.

Course: Forneus

Tournament Fee: 1,000,000 NG * Please note that this fee is per try.

Tournament Method: You are allowed to participate in the tournament with only 1 character (the highest
level character per account). You can participate in the this tournament only 2 times.

This Tournament is exclusively for players who are semi-pro or higher.

Ex) Player A score : 1st Try = 78 strokes, 2nd Try = 65 strokes -> The final score that the system will recognized is 65 strokes.

The Maximum tournament try is limited to 2

ATTENTION: In this tournament, the swing bar can be moved ONLY once (No practice swing gauge will be provided). Only one chance to click the bar 3 times. If you do not click on the 3rd bar movement, the system will give you an automatic bad shot. Shot-Online will not be responsible or compensate with disconnection issues. Thus please participate in this tournament at your risk. Disconnection occurs for various reasons even though server and server connection is property working.

Prizes:
1st Place - 1,000 US $
2nd Place - 500 US $
3rd Place - 200$
4th Place - 100$
Lucky winner - 5x Gold boxes

How to start the tournament?: Click on Baxter NPC who is in charge of tournaments at the square. Follow his instruction.

Tie Breakers:
1st - The player who submits their score card faster than the opponent will have an advantage.
2nd - Lower HDCP player will have an advantage.
3rd - Player who is logged online the most during the tournament period will have and advantage.
